A few years ago, while searching for a new home in the ACT, our founder noticed a surprising gap in nearly every building inspection report: the roof was only assessed in places the inspector could reach with a ladder, leaving large areas unchecked simply because they were “inaccessible”.

With decades of hands-on experience in construction — and a passion for drone technology — he decided to take matters into his own hands. As a skilled drone operator, he flew his drone over the roof and quickly discovered issues that traditional inspections had completely missed.

This was the inspiration behind Canberra Drone Building Inspection & Consultancy. Combining over 20 years in the building industry with expertise in defect diagnosis, building engineering, project management, and property maintenance, our founder set out to deliver inspections that are thorough, technology-driven, and able to reach where others can’t.

But it’s not just about business. Flying drones is also his creative outlet.
